Biography
Anne Cassidy is an award-winning writer and editor who blogs daily at A Walker in the Suburbs. Her essays and articles have been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor, Travel & Leisure, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle and many other newspapers and magazines. She is the author of Parents Who Think Too Much (Dell, 1998) and co-author of Single File (St. Martin's, 1989). A former instructor at the Writer's Center, she was for 10 years the editor of Georgetown Law, the alumni magazine of Georgetown University Law Center. She is currently the senior writer editor at Winrock International, where she covers everything from education in South Sudan to solar power in Indonesia. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, she received B.A. and M.A.T. degrees from Northwestern University and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University. She lives, walks and writes in Oak Hill, Virginia.
